The rather unpopular Chancelor of all Hearts

She’s supposed to be Germany’s, some say even Europe’s most powerful woman. For more than ten years Angela Merkel has governed Germany as a chancelor. Not without strong opposition though. Ranging from the finance crisis in Greece, the migrant crisis in Central Europe, her “welcome culture” and slogan “We can manage!” or nuclear disarmament in Germany: Merkel has a great number of critics and opponents. Not only in her own rows and in her own country. Her course in international relations is severely questioned by many.

Her re-election as a chancelor for the 4th period is not certain at all. In my latest analysis I examined user comments in 22 quality dailies in 16 EU member countries. The result and the judgment about Chancelor Merkel is far from optimism.
